John is a pro, a veteran, genuine and dedicated martial artist who has a vested interest in the development of his students. I've trained with him in the past and he developed my fight game onto another level. Froma student in uni, he's the one who actually got me continuing and becoming a lifelong martial artist! With Gavin Mullholands classes next to door to us in the basement of Westminster, he was never afraid to push us and cross train with them and leading from the front. Nothing but good memories with him.

Trained with John a long time ago and travelled with the team on seminars abroad. I can honestly say I havent seen many like him. I've trained around the world with many instructors. He is the Mr Miyagi of Krav. Smart and a hard worker. Just looked at some of the negative comments from the feedback, thought I had to let everyone know of John's knowledge experience and true grit. Gonna cone back soon and impart some knowledge. Taj ;)

Been here for around 8 months. The school can deliver whatever your expections are. It's a friendly place with cool funny instructors that make you feel relaxed and in a familiar environment. In the same time you are constantly encouraged to become more sure of yourself and more determined and even aggresive. There are elements that involve higher skill and crazy fitness, which you can adapt according to your own level without anyone looking down at you. Totally recommend

I called today to speak to the school, to say I am disappointed is an understatement. I asked basic questions about the school's syllabus and the version of Krav maga they teach (as I have done Krav Maga before). What I got in return was an arrogant, aggressive and rude instructor who's main concern was about signing up numbers to their class rather than answering a few questions from a prospective student. Unfortunately there are a lot of dodgy Krav Maga schools out there who churn out a watered down version of Krav and line their pockets in the process. Please stay away ....!!!

I have been training with John &Co. for over an year now and must confirm it’s been a GREAT ride. With no prior martial art experience it’s hard to find the right entry point, but BAKM kind of covers all essentials for me: Really intense fitness sessions ( Cross-fit, Calisthenics, but no weights, which is good->no injuries ) Simple proven Self-defence techniques ( core Krav Maga, Judo) Solid boxing training (incl. rather intense contact sparring with the Instructors/advanced students) Ground fighting skills ( BJJ) Self-defence relevant kicking ( Muay Thai and Kickboxing) Conflict awareness and stress reaction training My experience is that this is a serious, but friendly and safe environment to take self-defence classes. No bullshit, overaggressive brawling thought here. When one advances sparring and fitness become much more intense. As someone once said “ It doesn’t get easier, you just become stronger.” OVERALL : TOP MARKS. GREAT PLACE TO TRAIN. GREAT VALUE4MONEY. Cheers

Disapointed,i bought a promotion giving me 5 months of tuition and equipament to participate in the classes, because of the lack of interest in giving me my equipament i had to borrow from other students as they had a spare sweaty stink pair of gloves(thank you guys),almost 5 months gone and i dont have it yet, among other things thats the one that pissed me of. its not a bad school but there is a lot,a lot of room for improvement Some instructors are very cool friendly people trying to teach and help you
