The trainees here are not experienced enough to help with challenging needs, but can give general counselling. You are literally there for their learning experience. I tried 2 trainees, the first was unhelpful and did not respect boundaries nor my perspective on things. The second was better but lacked experience and had difficulty verbalizing his thoughts, though was a good listener. They do have a tendency to make everything your fault because you're the client. Often they use their knowledge of psychoanalysis to explain the problem you're having with them instead of taking responsibility. Things will always be written off as transference and projection, when it is simply that their practice is poor. Having seen other really good qualified therapists who have helped me from other places, I have to say the practice here is poor.

Well-meaning, but staid and conventional, much like John Bowlby himself.
