Its the old fashioned ness that give Samuel Smith's pubs their charm, like the 2 pubs in London SW1. Pubs like these bring back childhood memories of the 60s and 70s. Move over Wetherspoons, Samuel Smith's pubs are authentic. Start opening more pubs in the outskirts, I'm sure they'd be popular. Wonder if you make still cider?

Superb quality and variety of beers. The pubs are run according to rules which appeal to a niche market, and if there are enough customers in the niche to make a profit -so what? Not everyone wants pubs with music, TV sport and electronic devices. The brewery doesn't have a monopoly in any town, so if you don't like it then go somewhere else. This is not any sort of reply to all the Humphrey Smith stories online, but only to the business as this customer experiences it!
