All the food was cold when it came out, 2 fish finger sandwiches, crispy chicken and garlic bread (the garlic bread was missing cheese and burnt). We mentioned this to the server who offered to get it all remade but left the chicken? Not sure why as it was stone cold. When the food came out second time the chips and garlic bread were hot but the fish was still cold and the chicken didn’t get remade, probably why it was left there. We also asked for more fries as only had a couple on my wives plate which the server said where on the house, which I’m glad they were as it meant we had an equal amount of food. We ended up getting the chicken refunded which if I’m honest I’d rather of had remade as we were starving which is why we didn’t mention the fish second time as we just wanted to eat due to my wife being pregnant. The food took a long time to come out when the place wasn’t busy so unless you had an issue with chefs or staff I cannot understand why the food was cold both times. We will not be returning which is a shame as it’s one of our favourite waking spots for the dog and have ate here multiple times which we’ve enjoyed in the past. Can’t justify spending premiership prices for Sunday league quality. I will be putting this review on your Google page if I’ve not had a response by Friday as I spent the best part of £50 and all I enjoyed was the 2 pints of peroni. I did try raise this with them but all they blamed was shortages of cooks and asked us to come back which I don’t see what the incentive is to waste more money on poor food and service. Edit. Below is the initial email that got sent to me which does not mention anything about a chef cutting off his finger. The reason why I initially came to yourselves is to give you the opportunity to try and make it right. Instead you’ve chosen to lie on your reply to my review trying to make my review seem un true. If you can please reply with your area managers email address either on this message or via the initial email I sent you as I would like to take this higher. Thanks May 17, 2023 6:14 PM Good afternoon, I am saddened to hear you did not enjoy your visit to our establishment. We did start the weekend 2 chefs down, thus despite their resilience, our kitchen team were struggling to deliver in a timely manner. This does not excuse the quality of the food you received however, and from reading your comments, I am disappointed in our kitchen team as this is certainly not representative of the standards we train them to. And whilst we offered and were given opportunity to rectify the issues, I apologise that we did not resolve things sufficiently. I have faith in our chefs and team and rest assured I shall be sharing your comments with them and working diligently to ensure these issues do not occur again in future. I am saddened to hear that after multiple visits and despite being a favourite walking spot of yours you have decided to forego us future custom, based on the events of a singular visit. Therefore I only hope, should you wish to give us another chance in the future, you shall be able to see how much we have improved. I extend my sympathies and apologies for the issues that befell you visit, but thank you for your bringing them to our attention as it is instrumental in helping us to better ourselves, our business and service. Kind Regards, Owen
