One of the most exquisite local pubs! I had the pleasure of going on a “take over night” where a local brewery (langhams) took over the taps for the evening/week, showing off the best of local beers. The food selection was a great, I was there on a burger night and was impressed with the selections! The staff were bubbly and lively and the location is also dog friendly a huge plus if you are out on a walk with your pooch

What a great community pub. Really lovely staff and with a real sense of going above and beyond to look after their guests. We stayed in a really nice room - with comfortable bed and high quality linen. Shower was great. We had dinner in the pub.. and food quality was excellent. I highly recommend esp for walkers on the South Downs Way.

A perfect stop on the South Downs Way. Such a warm welcome and the staff couldn’t have been kinder or more flexible as the kitchen is shut Sunday evenings. A special meal was prepared for us. Thanks to Rob and all his lovely staff. We wish you all well in your community venture!
