  We met Ciaran from The Big Picture on the grand designs show .He came across very friendly and easy to communicate. We told him the budget and he was happy to work around that . He gives attention to detail in his project and makes sure the outcome is excellent. I am very happy with his work and would highly recommend to my friends and family .

  We used The Big Picture for our basement cinema room, bedroom projector system and Control4 Home automation throughout. After researching various other companies, we decided to use Ciaran, as his expertise and attention to detail is second to none. He went out of his way to find a system that suited our needs and worked with us along the way to ensure we were happy. He was on site every day and worked very long hours, to see the installation completed in a timely fashion. He designed and built the whole cinema from the bare shell to finished product, even helping us with the interior design. The room has full acoustic treatment and stretched fabrics to all walls and ceilings, which we love. The whole family agree that the cinema’s now the best room in the house! The sound and audio quality and his knowledge on the subject is immense and we are over the moon with the finished products. Thank you, Ciaran!

  Award Worthy Cinema! I contact Ciaran from The Big Picture just after the start of the pandemic when it was a difficult time to do anything for any of us. I had very little idea of what I wanted and even less idea about the space I was creating to house a cinema. I sent him some photos of what I thought would be an identical space and he worked a quote out based on that and based on me wanting something quite special. The quote gave me a number of options from both the lower and higher ends of the home cinema possibilities. We had a lot of hurdles to work through during the process with building materials and complications and Ciaran worked diligently on the phone with my builders to ensure what he envisioned could work with what they were building, and vice versa. Then there were silly issues on equipment that were prevalent in all of these industries at the time and again Ciaran keep me updated at all times and even copied me into emails to and from suppliers to ensure all was very transparent in what was a difficult world at the time. The first time I listened to some music on the wisdom audio speakers in the room, combined with Ciaran’s audio treatment I was almost in tears. The sheer purity of the sound at all levels evoked an unexpected emotional response that I’d never experienced before. The room wasn’t even finished! Several months later from enquiry to completion it was finally time to sit and watch our first movies. My Dad was dying and we had him around to watch the greatest showman. He was in awe and I’ll never forgot watching that film in there with him, the image on the screen, the sound all around us and the total immersion he and all of us felt while we watched it. Controls wise the room is simple to operate for image, sound and lighting, the seating recommended by Ciaran is very comfortable and the room…. Well, it just works as one unit. Every time I go in there continue to be blown away by the sound, the image and the amazing quality of the whole set up. I never expected to feel an emotional reaction but the moment you walk into the room you feel that it’s different, then the film comes on or the music plays and you are transported into another realm of reality where it’s just you and the music/film and nothing else. It is quite simply, incredible. Thank you Ciaran for working with me and creating this space in our home. It is well worth the finals of the Cedia awards that it has reached and in my books it’s definitely the winner! Well done!

  I first used the services of The Big Picture in 2006 and working on a relatively small budget, Ciaran designed a fantastic audio visual experience way beyond anything I thought possible. Over time, I realised that technology was leaving me behind and what was great in 2006 was no longer great now. I contacted Ciaran and options relative to my specific requests were discussed and considered. The Big Picture have now installed a 4K UHD projector, giving stunningly sharp visual images and the new multi-room wireless audio system is a pleasure to own. Ciaran was also proactive in offering advice on decor and colour schemes for the cinema room, which was taken onboard and is now very much appreciated. Ciaran is passionate in his work and has a wealth of knowledge in his field.   Peter Holland - Director - Sudeley Investments Ltd Having decided to invest in a home cinema installation we set about researching the options. We then met with 3 installers and rather than being specific we asked them for their recommendations. We had the distinct impression from 2 of the suppliers that the idea was to sell us audio and visual hardware that would combine to form a suitable system. Ciaran, however, took a far more holistic approach that involved a great deal of detail that left no aspects of the installation to chance. It was also clear that he didn’t intend to use an army of subcontractors. This was borne out when we visited one of his current installations and saw how ‘hands on’ the project Ciaran was. Work started 6 weeks after awarding Ciaran the project. We were in Lockdown 2 but Ciaran found a way of working through it despite the added difficulties. Less than 3 weeks later we had a functioning cinema room just waiting for a few minor components delayed by Covid related causes. The end result has exceeded our expectations. Ciaran was able carry out his vision to exacting standards as a result of his extensive experience, expertise and attention to detail. We can’t recommend The Big Picture highly enough. Thank you Ciaran! Update - Approaching 12 months of enjoyment with the Home Cinema now. It has exceeded our expectations and provided us with countless hours of top quality entertainment (depending on the content, of course!) in the comfort of our home. A recent trip to the cinema for the Bond film was actually a bit of an anticlimax compared to what we experience at home. We have made a few slight modifications via apps to the system and Ciaran has been on hand to incorporate them seamlessly and professionally. All in all an excellent investment that just keeps giving.

  We enlisted The Big Picture to advise & install a home entertainment system. The experience from start to finish was superb. They listened to our needs and noted our budget extremely carefully and then gave us various options explaining everything in great detail. Once we made our decision, the rest of the process went smoothly and to plan. TBP took great care of our home and showed pride in all they did. We now have a home entertainment system that works exactly as we wanted and integrates beautifully into our 100 year old London home. In time we will definitely use The Big Picture again to extend our entertainment system into other rooms and eventually the garden. We recommend TBP without hesitation!
