I booked The Bar People for our wedding as we needed a cash bar. Before booking them, I explained that the venue would require some health and safety docs, public liability and a signed contract (pretty standard wedding stuff) 4 months before the wedding. I was told that this would be no problem. However, when requesting these documents from the company they ignored numerous emails and failed to call when they said they would. I made it clear that there was a deadline to provide the venue with all this information and they continued to ignore me. I'm now stuck looking for another bar with just months until the wedding. Do not book these people, they are very unreliable and do not value customers. The fact that they also could not provide documents that are a pretty standard request makes me feel that they are an amateur company.

Out of the two sides of this business that I have personally seen and interacted with. I have been blown away both times by The Bar Peoples professionalism and it’s ability to creat a fun environment that you would want present on any given occasion. While running the bar at my brothers wedding we were greeted each time visiting the bar by bubbly personalities who were eager to see our needs met. It made me feel like I was at an incredibly classy event. Jake the head of the company was there in person getting stuck in with his staff (good to see that a superior member of staff has no problem helping out and getting involved himself) it gave it a incredible sense that we were his main priority and he wanted to make sure we had the best time. Reassuring and surprising to finally meet a boss of a company who is more than his sign off on emails. The team felt more like a family than just a bunch of people stuck together working a job all happy to be there and proud of the job roles they all had and it added to the vibe of my brothers special day perfectly. During the recent lockdown me and my partner booked in for one of The Bar Peoples cocktail making masterclasses. This was obviously a more personal affair over zoom and it really alleviated the stress and pressure of the times we are living in. If only for a night I can’t thank the bar people enough for that. We were taught very professional methods I a very simple and easy to remember fashion. I honestly am at a loss of words to describe what a pleasure it is to have these guys involved in your events whether massive weddings or intimate time passers. A truly fantastic independent homegrown business who I’d rather support over most other big business drink and catering businesses.
