    There claim procedure makes no sense, they want a quote first which is fair enough but you have to pay to get the fault diagnosed and only then the garage can produce a quote. Phone calls not returned including the claims manager. A good warranty provider should authorise the investigation cost to a maximum of 2 hours on the understanding that the 2 hours labour cost is covered on an agreement the claim is valid, rather than putting all the responsibility on the claimant. This in my opinion is a provider looking to avoid all payment of claims.

    If you are considering getting a used car warranty or are being sold one from a dealer, DO NOT go with The Auto Group, They are total Con men and women and have no intention of paying out , we jump through every hoop they ask us to at a cost to myself . After many emails got nowhere. This is how they ended their last email to me " The listed components on your agreement are not 100% guaranteed to be covered as we have to base the assessment off the information supplied from the repairing garage. If evidence shows there has been no sudden failure and is worn/corroded, then that is not covered under the agreement." The other thing was they don't cover are perishable items like rubber components when it clearly states they cover bushes ??? Look forward to your reply Jim.

    Of I could give zero stars I would. Every bad story you've ever heard about warranty companies finding ways not to pay are right here. This shoddy bunch of con artists took my money and after renewing for the 2nd year I finally had cause to claim. But oh no, everything was miraculously not covered. They claimed the engine mounts weren't mechanical and even after I provided manufacturers schematics proving they were, they still refused to pay. They take money under false pretenses and are utterly reprehensible. Disgusting.

    Actually a con. Bought a car with this warranty and 6 weeks later noticed a fault. Garage diagnosed as turbo faulty which was supposedly covered. When the garage rang them up to explained they refused to pay for the repair saying the car was too old to be covered for the repair. So basically any car out of manufactures warranty is deemed to have broken down due to wear and tear and therefore repairs not covered. However they have no qualms selling the warranty and taking your money. To add insult to injury after ripping me off they sent me a renewal reminder for the same car that was too old to repair. Avoid total scammers. In answer to their reply, the turbo went wrong. The turbo was itemised as covered in the warranty. They refused to pay for its replacement citing the vehicle was too old. Why take money and promise to cover parts knowing the age and mileage of the vehicle if not prepared to honour the warranty. The garage I bought the car from also denied responsibility. So buying a car with a ware with these guys does not equate to stress free motoring but a waste of time and money.

    Nothing but hassle with this warranty company always trying to find some loophole to avoid paying! I’ve got the ultimate cover and on two occasions, they’ve not paid a single penny for any repairs done to my taxi. The approved garage was shocked to find that the auto group warranty refused to pay. AVOID this scammer. I won’t recommend it to anyone.

Throughout the team has been proactive, helpful and reassuring in what to me was a very upsetting time after an accident.     This company is a scam. Stay away. Will take your money for years, leading you to believe they will help you when the time arrises. NOT the case at all, even have the cheek to ask me to prove pictures that the garage can't even take, the garage advised me this is a scam & they know you can't take such pictures. This company should be ashamed. Your as bad as a scam call centre. With the cost of living going up. Save your money now & cancel.
