The staff at the Aspen centre are an incredibly caring and attentive group of people. Whilst you’re in there it can feel claustrophobic and difficult when there aren’t many groups or therapy, but that’s because of shortage of staff - they try their best to still manage juggling everything! I spent 4 years in and out of inpatient care there, and every time I was never made to feel a nuisance or given up on. In fact, I can now say that I have been a full year free of inpatient treatment, and soon to be discharged from Outpatients after 7 years. I am forever grateful to the Aspen Centre for the help and support they have given me over the years, I can never thank them enough for keeping me going, and saving my life when I had given up on it. Special thank you to Psychotherapist Charlotte, Consultant Dr Winston, Debbie and Steph the most amazing nurses. I’m now off to Uni and loving having a ‘normal’ life, no longer dictated by my Eating Disorder.

The Aspen Centre its most definitely the best thing that could have happened to me.It brought me back to health both physically and mentally.I will never be able to thank enough the wonderful Doctors and Nurses and helpers.Everyone was so understanding, caring and friendly.I felt I was always totally informed of what was happening and my priorities were always listened to and put first.I was there fir twos monrhs and never felt sad or bored as there were always things organised to keep patients entertained and a very good routine.I had a really nice room, every where was nice and clean and the staff was extremely accommodating with my kids visiting times.I wish all doctors were like Doctor Winston and Doctor Brendan and Roxanne, the dietician.During my staying I have been able to attend some of Roxanne’s Nutrition Classes which were very interesting and useful. If I was to mention all the nurses I feel in debt to,I would have to make a very long list. However I feel I have to mention Amy,Zoe,Rebecca,Becky,Chris,Anthony,Mark Linda, Luise and last, but not least Debbie. I am back home now and doing very well, thanks to all the team at the Asoen Centre,so thanks again everybody and keep up the wonderful work!😊👍💁🏻 PS. I do miss the chicken tikka sandwiches.......😊. Absolutely appalling, have attended for almost 8 years with just a worsening in my conditions year upon year. No communication between consultants, told inpatient treatment coming up in one session, 4 weeks later am asked "Where did I get this idea from" and that my issue is that I don't want to be treated by them. No, I want to be treated and get better not to be told I am the problem.
