I decided to “shop local” and had heard good things about the company. Initially contacted Bob by telephone who said he was travelling and to send it in an email. Two days pass and nothing back so decide to ring, get told he’ll look at it on Monday. Monday passes and nothing. I send a chaser on Tuesday and I get this rude email back: “ Martin, I have not found any that I think are similar.....you may want to drop down by arrangement have have a look yourself....Bob” Firstly my name is Matt, but that’s neither here nor there, but anyway I decide to phone to have a chat and clarify this message and quite honestly it was obvious to me that he didn’t want the work because of the size of the job. Belittling Comments like: “I haven’t got the time”, “im not going to root through the warehouse for what is only 2.5m2” or “£30 profit”. I understand that it was a small job, but just say from the outset that you are sorry and you only like dealing with bigger customers instead of being rude to me. It’s put my project back a week now and unlikely to get something sorted before XMAS where I had taken time off to sand the floor.

Sourcing the right wood, emailing photos and cutting to my spec, they even couriered the wood before I had even payed.
