Disgusting treatment. I recently phoned The Angel and booked a table for four. The woman I spoke to was very polite and said she looked forward to seeing me. I had a confirmation text to my phone, so all was good as this was a special occasion. The day before my booking I had another text asking me to confirm my booking, so I phoned The Angel only to be told by the manager that she would not be open on that day as she had been working so hard she needed a day off and that my booking was the fault of their Automatic Booking Service. When she realised I had phoned the booking in, she then blamed another member of staff. To have your booking cancelled without giving you any notice shows complete ignorance and disregard for the customer. Fortunately, I managed to book the last available table at The Sun in Feering where we had an excellent meal in a pleasant atmosphere I would highly recommend.

Edit…. This place was fantastic, new landlords in now and now it’s disorganised, dirty and the food is not what it used to be. Service is slow and rushed. I used to visit regularly now im not going back. What a shame used to be so well run! The angel is a great place fantastic food, great staff, place looks fantastic after the refurb. Brand new! Lovely new landlady and landlord. Great place to go for a drink or a meal

Not sure what's happened here. We went here a year or so ago and it was lovely, the food was top notch. Went back here a month ago and it was average at best, parents roast chicken was dry and overcooked. My fish and chips was mainly batter with very little fish. Wouldn't go back here.

Looks nice and presents nice but very expensive frozen food at premium prices the chef has no idea how to do steak. Well, from freezer to thaw in microwave, then to pan and a salt bath. Sirloin for 27 quid is 10mm thick looks and tastes bland with no flavour or suculance. Chef said this is how it comes. Waitress very nice and offered an alternative. However once I send food back I'm done. Wife enjoyed her food and to be fair the soup was nice. Last comment is that it is all Over priced with an under promise. Staff nice tho. Very expensive frozen food I'm afraid.

So funny story about this place, 17.52pm you can’t order olives because the kitchen is closed. I’ll never come back , totally careless about the clients. Thank you very much for my disappointment!
