This is a long review. TLDR had a lovely evening with some great food and good service, as you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. Was full by the end of the meal (which isn't always guaranteed) However, I had the tasting menu and several dishes were ok but not as good as I'd have expected especially "dessert". The good: Some lovely dishes, I especially liked the wagyu and the reblonchon starter. Service was very good, at the less fussy end of Michelin, which is what I prefer. I really enjoyed how many of the dishes focused on the food and tasting the ingredients. Personal preference, but I've gotten a bit bored with certain Michelin restaurants feeling like a tasting menu of sauces. Lovely venue and ambiance, not noisy. The less good: Scallop looked amazing, texture was beautiful and very fresh, but sadly the taste didn't live up to the look. I think mine was underseasoned. Also would have preferred more of a crust, but that is just a personal preference. The final three courses (effectively dessert) were not good enough, maybe the pastry chef just had an off night. I hope this is taken as intended, as constructive criticism. Savoury, the whey was too cold which in my opinion didn't work well with the chesse. Eaten without the whey it was ok, but not exciting. Exotic, this was the worst dish for me. Ice cream/sorbet was also very cold and didn't taste of much, the mango pieces and sauce were completely flavourless. The biscuit flavour was fine, but not delicious and the texture was a bit gritty. Whey, the pear and espuma was lovely, very light and delicate. The plate however was confusing to eat, too many things, not all of them went together well. Cake texture was too gummy. It was very much a meal of two halves for me, it was a shame to end on a low, but the final three dishes were also my bottom three. Overall I enjoyed myself and ate some lovely food. As a dinner experience of course 5/5. However as a £165 Michelin star tasting menu experience 2/5.

I ate there last night for my Birthday. We had the tasting menu with the matching drinks package and it was out of this world. Every course was delicious and so intricate. The Staff were all so lovely and the service was fantastic. They even gave me a lovely birthday card waiting at our table. It made my special day extra special! Cannot recommend enough.
