Food & drinks: We visited this hotel based on its fantastic reviews and friends recommendations for its carvery. We weren't disappointed at all ,fantastic service, great choice of mains for your carvery, not just the usual meats, pie, liver and onions, salmon,Cumberland ring ,savoury mince and a veggie option which I think was a Mediterranean vegetable tart with feta .The usual choice of vegetables to go with these choices, fantastic buttery mash, roast potatoes etc. Great choice of desserts too,I myself opted for apple crumble with custard, but chilled desserts were available, cheesecakes, pavlova and treacle tart . Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and great value,we will return .

I love the carvery here, such a great choice of mains and the vegetables, especially the mashed potatoes, are great. Unfortunately they didn't have any hot puddings and the cold ones didn't look very appetising so didn't have a pudding. Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 … More
