Great theatre with lovely staff. This was our first visit to The Alexandra and it was wonderful. It's only a short walk from New Street train station so easy to get to. The main box office entrance is just across the road from the rear entrance so make sure you get the right one. It's very nice inside, the seats are comfortable and the sound was great. The stage is a very good size and we had no trouble seeing from our seats in the stalls. The prices at the bar are a little high but the norm for a theatre, and there was a live piano player who was excellent. We saw "The Ocean at the End of the Lane", based on the Neil Gaiman book, which was the best show we have ever seen. A dark fantasy tale, both scary and emotional with incredible production values. We will definitely be back. Recommended.
