Rated 4 star as the food is significantly better than your average English pub food. Dinner of trout bruschetta, asparagus, halloumi fries and sirloin steak. One pint of beer and a glass of wine for 60 pound. Good service and helpful friendly staff.

I visited the Thatched Tavern for the first time on the 14th May. I reserved a table online as I was informed it would be busy. I did get an acknowledgement that my request had been received but didn't receive confirmation that the table had been reserved, therefore I called to confirm. The member of staff I spoke with was extremely polite and helpful. Our table was reserved for 15.30hrs but we arrived early and had a drink in the garden to the rear. The Sunday menu is quite small but perfectly adequate for what we required. I was in a party of 4 and all of us agreed unanimously that it was one of the best Sunday lunches that we have ever had. The prices and portion sizes are fantastic and the service was second to none. I would like to commend all the staff at the Thatched Tavern on their brilliant service. Keep up the great work. We will definitely be back to sample the week day menu. 5*
