Avoid! We purchased Mazda 6 from them 2 years ago. Since the beginning we had been experiencing nothing but trouble, stress and costs associated with that car. They sold us a car with a faulty engine and blamed it on us! Barely two years later we have to scrap the car as it is unroadworthy. Save your money and go elsewhere. Would give zero stars if I could!

Brought a bmw 1 series for £4000 end of October done 1500 miles in it since and the engine packed up said nothing they can do so be careful guys - warranty is 3 months or a thousand miles. Bloke didn’t give a toss.

AVOID: Untrustworthy; the type that give 2nd hand car dealers a bad name. I bought car from them and less than 6 weeks later, the rear differential needs replacing. And it turns out they sold me a car with faulty front brakes too. Despite this and that the Consumer Rights Act of 2015 is clear in making it their responsibility to either correct or refund if a fault comes to light between 30 days and 6 months, they are refusing to acknowledge this and are refusing to put this right. I am going to have to take action in the courts. This is an open and shut case - they are certain to be found liable, but despite this it's going to cost time and money. Nevertheless. Too many people get ripped off by dealers like this and it can't be allowed to stand. Dreadful way to behave. DON'T BUY FROM THIS OUTFIT. They're cowboys. 100%. If I could give 0 Stars in this review, I would.

I had a fantastic experience dealing with Thatcham Motor company. I travelled all the way from Southend and found the car exactly as it was advertised on their website. All my enquiries were satisfactorily answered by their helpful on-site staff which, I did not find pushy. The car felt great to drive back home. I have been using the car regularly since the purchase 2 months ago and so far, It has not given me any grief. I would definitely buy again from Thatcham Motor Company and would unreservedly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a quality used car.

As the 3 month warranty has expired on my Honda accord I purchased from the Thatcham motor company, I promised Shaz I will write about my experience. *From start to finish Shaz was very helpful throughout the warranty and the purchase of the car. *When I test drove the vehicle Shaz trusted me to go alone and was not pushy with the sale. *I had a minor issue a month after purchasing the vehicle which was rectified without hesitation *To date the vehicle is driving superb with no issues In my experience if your looking for a trustworthy car garage (which can be difficult to find) then look no further than Thatchum motor company. I will surely return when I need another car. Thanks team and keep up the good work.
