I have taken my car for an MOT and service to the Tunbridge Wells Fiat for a number of years. Sadly, for the last two years the service is not to the standard I have had elsewhere in the UK for 40 years. This year, (for the second year running) Tunbridge Wells Fiat Garage Dealership failed, (despite the request when booking the appointment and reminders nearer the time in writing and on the day) to upgrade my Sat Nav. They said it would take a whole day, hence in my second year of trying with them I gave explicit instructions that this must be done as part of the day of service/MOT and dropped the car off first thing in the morning at 8:15 a.m.. They not only failed to do what had been requested for the second time but when the service receptionist called me to say the car needed two new tyres he told me that everything else had been completed but without the alloys. My requests had therefore not been done. Nor had the parts come in for the for the alloys caps I had ordered giving a long notice period when I booked. Thames Fiat despite being a dealship and Fiat service garage sent the car out for the two new tyres as they said they do not stock them. On average 10% on cars require tyres at an MOT how odd not to have tyres readily available for servicing needs. Had I known I could have arranged for my car to get tyres within an hour or so and certainly not take over a day to install. I was told 'I would have to pick up the car the following day when they had done the work' and they would ring me when it was completed perhaps around mid day the following day. I lost a whole mornings paid work for this, had to stay in the area over night, (as I drove to the garage from London) and had to rearrange my and others plans. Never in all my life have I had to wait over night after a service and MOT to get my car. On arrive at the garage the service receptionis who called to say the car was ready to pick up had not completed the paperwork, he discourteously ordered me to sit down over there, rather then suggesting I may like to sit a few meters away, while he completed the invoice. On reading through the invoice I realised I had been charged for screen wash. I told him I had put in a whole very huge jug of screen wash myself the day I drove down from London for the service with them. My car did not need screen wash, so why was I being charged for it? I wondered how many others are charged for items they do not need? He removed this charge and the fee for the Sat Nav they had failed to supply, despite having the car for the previous day and half the following day. The reason I had gone to them to get the service and MOT. What upset me and distressed me most was that at NO time did he apologize for the inconvenience, the lack of service or charging me for something I did not require. Rude man and a bad service. I am yet to receive an apology. I reported my experience to the lady who called two days afterwards to ask if I had been satisfied with the service. I told her it was the worst I had had ever. The car was serviced, the work and parts I had requested was not done , the parts were not in the garage and the custommer interaction was unacceptably rude. Driving back to work my tyre warning light came on a few minutes away from the garage. As I was on the A21 I could not stop and return to the garage. I had these checked by someone else not wishing to return there after my experience - the new tyres were at a pressure of 36, way too high for my little Fiat 500. Clearly the fact the warning light came on suggests that garage did not check the tyre pressure. I was and I am an upset and disappointed customer.

Best customer service I have ever received in the motor trade by Ian Geering the parts manager . Every interaction I have had with him has been spot on . I also bought my car from you guys back in 2018 and the service was excellent . After purchasing a new Landrover from Ashford and receiving the worst customer service possible you guys made me happy again by a purchase of a locking wheel nut .
