Where do I start. The place is marketed as a some sort of high end relaxing getaway. It is anything but that. They have awful tribute bands playing horrendously loud music over the weekend, be warned, it shakes the bed whilst you’re trying to sleep in the room. The staff are nice and attentive but they are totally overwhelmed. Its a total shambles, 30-45 minutes just to get a drink, terrible service due to lack of staff and long waits for food. Even just trying to pay becomes a nightmare. Despite the clear attempt to be stylish, the place itself is a bit tacky and it seems to have become the local night on the town for the lads of Hertfordshire. The food is distinctly average and overpriced. You should avoid this place if you any respect for the value of money or your own self worth. Maybe it’s different during the week?
