Excellent teaching and demonstration from the teacher Paul Smith - highly experienced, friendly, patient and insightful. The classes are always fascinating. The dojo members are a wonderful mix of ages and experience in addition to being a welcoming bunch. Almost 50% are women which makes a welcome change from most dojos, too. Student of Paul's since November 2009.

I’ve visited this Tetsushinkan Aikido class to observe twice in June. Paul is a wonderful teacher I’ve ever seen .
My image of Aikido has been completely changed by his class. His teaching is therapeutic and he always adjusts the balance of the environment which made members calm and focus on themselves. He also treats practitioners' personality carefully. His lesson provides us with the opportunities facing our true life and who we are. All of the members are very friendly and polite. If I start doing Aikido, I would really like to have his lesson.
I am so glad to meet Paul and members for this precious experiences from the bottom of my heart.

When i moved to London i wanted to find a Dojo where i could continue Aikido practice. After thorough search i found Tetsushinkan Aikido led by Paul Smith sensei and was fascinated about the traditional way of teaching of Aikido and Kashima no Tachi kenjutsu derived from traditional Kashima Shinryu style. Besides regular trainings, the dojo regularly organises seminars with the style leading masters from Japan, who reveal their studies on techniques and detailed ways of executing them. If you are looking to train traditional Japanese sword techniques, this is the Dojo you should come to.
