I can highly recommend this artform for two reasons: Firstly, with it's origins as a combination of various other martial arts, the sessions are varied. You never really know exactly what you'll be doing until you get there, and I love the variety. Meditation, cardio, freestyle (sparring), kehds (kata), self-defense, stick fighting, it's all there. Secondly, it's a nice relaxed approach. Things are based around what works, not slavishly practicing things in a prescribed manner. Also you'll find people there friendly, and there's normally a trip to the Blake after the session if you want to get to know people better. The first session is free, so I highly reccomend giving it a go.

Tetsudo is a fanstastic martial art that combines self-defence, fitness, meditation and free-style. The instructor is very friendly and approachable and helps all students develop at their own pace. After giving a few martial arts a go over the years Tetsudo is the first one I've really felt like pursuing, and I'm sure this due to the approach of the instructor. Highly recommended (and the first session is free!).
