*** MUST READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING ENGAGING WITH TERRESENS *** If, like me, you have been seduced by glossy Terresens emails promising you your own piece of Alpine paradise, all wrapped around an “out-of-the-box, you can’t lose” rental management programme, then please read this review before you even consider engaging with them. My story started in December 2020, when I was contacted by Terresens about a new development in Peisey Vallandry called Le Quartz. Following a very slick pitch, in which I was assured I was dealing with one of the leading developers in France, I signed a legal reservation agreement with Terresens in January 2021, paid the deposit and locked down the property (or so I thought). I then spent thousands of Euros on variuos legal and other fees to finalise the purchase, including making an additional payment to Terresens to customise one aspect of the property. Days before we were due to complete, Terresens contacted me to inform me that they were now increasing the price of my property from 685,000 Euros to 927,000 Euros. I was beyond incredulous - I literally found it unbelievable that a developer that describes itself as "the leader in the concept of secondary homes in the mountains" would even think of acting in this way. We had a legal reservation agreement in place which clearly specified the purchase price, I'd paid the required deposit in full and proceeded with the necessary activities to complete the purchase. Terresens then simply informed me that, as a result of me refusing to pay the new price they tried to impose at the last minute, they were unilaterally terminating our reservation agreement and putting my property back on the market. As a direct consequence of their actions, I am now thousands of Euros out of pocket and I've also missed out on other opportunities I was considering at the time. Not to mention countless hours I'd spent on this and the stress they caused me over 2 years. Far from making my Alpine dream come true, Terresens turned it into an expensive nightmare. ** UPDATED FOLLOWING TERRESENS RESPONSE BELOW ** I wanted to update my review following Terresens’ extraordinary reply to my original post: 1. The unilateral termination of the Reservation Contract by Terresens, 18 months after signing it and only a few days before completion, does not “seem harsh” – it’s quite simply outrageous. Before terminating, Terresens even charged me 500 Euros for their architects to update the plans of the property I reserved. Harsh indeed. 2. It’s incredible that Terresens are freely admitting that they will happily trample all over Reservation Contracts they signed with their customers when it suits them. I thought it would be difficult to demonstrate what kind of a company Terresens is, but they are doing it for me. Thank you. 3. While you state that you were “disappointed” that we were “unable to reach the agreement”, this is of course a laughable attempt at spin. So, for the record: we already had an agreement – it’s called the “Reservation Contract”. We even signed it and I even paid the deposit. You then gave me the ultimatum of paying 200,000 Euros more than what we had already agreed. When I refused, you unilaterally terminated this contract. I hope this helps you deal with your disappointment. 4. Clearly, you were not “forced” to increase the sales prices. You chose to do so to increase your profits and you did so in full knowledge that terminating the Reservation Contract so close to completion would leave your customers high and dry. 5. Of all the things I am disappointed about, becoming “one of the many happy owners of a residence of your Group” is most definitely not one of them. What does disappoint me though, is that I am thousands of Euros out of pocket as a direct consequence of your unilateral termination of the Reservation Contract we had signed.

Margaux Bertrand helped with the process and all the after sales and how we manage going forward. I cannot recommend the company enough. And our apartment is beautiful, finished to a high standard and a beautiful spa in our building.

Wow, this company is basically a fraud. If you are even considering purchasing a property from them, you really are a sitting duck. I just came to leave a review after losing thousands of pounds and saw a comment below that describes exactly what happened to me. My advice: do not even think of engaging with Terresens, they are the most unscrupulous developer in France. PS: the positive reviews below come from their own employees. Make sure you do your research.

This company simply doesn't help out at all. Our complete buying experience has been dreadful. Yes we have had Covid but equally allowances have been made for the delay. They say "Terresens UK was set up to create the total buyer experience being the developer and managing agent of all our properties" the truth is you are on your own dealing with France directly. The experience is awful and the finish at best 3 star not 5 star. They say " Our London office is here to have direct contact with our clients and to guide them through the purchase process from start to finish and beyond" this simply doesn't happen we are now looking at taking litigation to get what we were promised. They pretend "We understand purchasing in another country can be a daunting prospect, so with our team of highly experienced property professions both in the UK and on the continent, we’re sure we'll have everything covered". The reality is completely different - nothing is covered everything changes and you still have to pay top money for bottom rate help and support. They talk about "Our unique offering is what makes us stand out from the crowd, so we’re confident you’ll be happy finding your dream property with us." what stands out it the fact you are on your own, left fighting for simply what was promised. Come on Terresens charge 3 stars prices and deliver 3 star service that would be fair,.
