My experience was awful here. Seriously considering making a formal complaint. Being told there is nothing wrong with me and the consultant refusing to listen to any of my symptoms saying he "dosnt want to know about it." Telling me past diagnosis are made up and ive been lied to. I have never been spoken to so unprofessionally or made to feel so belittled by a medical professional.

After a hip replacement under the outstanding care of Mr Jafri, I would like to say that the whole experience has been extremely positive. The care, kindness and professionalism of my nurses (Ashley, Johanna, Jenny, Laura and Kendra) who looked after me so well. The anaesthetists who made the procedure painless and relaxing. Excellent advice and help from Evie the physio to get me back on my feet and post op. exercises. The exceptional standards of the wards and catering were a big plus too. A big thank you to all the staff.

I had elective knee surgery at TVH yesterday, I was so well looked after from start to finish, all the staff are lovely, the hospital itself is such a pleasant place with a great atmosphere! No doubt the best hospital in the area! Nurse Ellen was exceptional, professional and her bedside manner was lovely, I was made me feel very relaxed and she provided me with so much information before I was discharged! And that chocolate fudge cake, wow!

Health care at its very best. - I would like to give more than 5 stars. I was assessed for hip replacement in late November 22. By early January I was admitted for the operation under the care of Mr J Webb. I was discharged after just 28 hours. For anyone worried about this operation I hope my following observations will be helpful. Upon arrival I was shown to a very tranquil & tasteful private ensuite bedroom. The medical team were running behind schedule but I was glad of the rest & pre procedure acclimatisation in the room. The bed was supremely comfortable ! When I was taken to the theatre the staff were very calming & reduced my nervousness. The spinal injections by Dr.Easby & his assistant were quick & not painful. After one hour & twenty minutes I was wheeled to the recovery section then back to my room. The nursing staff were very attentive. Good quality fresh sandwiches & tea were provided. All staff & the nurses such as Jo & others obviously love their work as this carried over to their patients in a calming & professional way. The physiohtherapists got me walking the following day & by 5pm after a nice chicken breast meal I was ready to go home. After just over three weeks I'm walking without the sticks -although I'm still using them to pevent too much weight going onto my new joint. I have not used the pain relief provided as the pain was very low & has been easily manageable. Fears of being unable to sleep on my back (to avoid twisting the new hip by turning) have been unfounded & I have taken extra care to avoid any pressure or rubbing of the medical wound, after two weeks the bandages & paper stitches were removed totally painlessly. I'm looking forward to getting back to work & I feel that the operation will give me a new lease of life. I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff & hope my review helps others overcome any fears of this type of procedure.

Such happy staff in every part of the hospital made my knee replacement a positive experience. Mr Webb and his team were so caring, informative and friendly. The ward staff and physiotherapists couldn't do enough to help and support, indeed to make you feel special. All done and on my way in 26 hours.

2 complete knee replacements in the past 8 months and Mr Webb and his team were fantastic. Yesterday I went for my assessment prior to a new hip in a couple of weeks and was attended by Nurse Sue and Nurse Adrian. Two lovely nurses who made me feel at ease. I would recommend Tees Valley Hospital every time they were wonderful, looking to my next visit.
