I agreed a fixed fee as an insurance in case things became more complicated. The extra charge for this was very reasonable and I am glad I did. Tees Law were engaged to make a Trust Deed for my parents a few years back before they died. It turned out to be an unmitigated disaster because when the time came to unwind the trust after the last parent died, Tees Law had 'forgotten' to retire the partners of the firm when they left. Consequently, we were completely stuck for about 18 months while they said they were trying to find 20 of them to get them to sign off on it. Of course they didn't tell us the truth for a year and there were so many excuses as to why we couldn't unwind the Trust and a lot of obfuscation - no one cared and certainly did not take the situation seriously and mucked us around interminably. I would never recommend them in a million years. It was a horrible experience that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Zero stars.

This law firm have looked after our first property purchase. So relaxing, all is taken care of, they ask you the right question or documents and help you if need clarification. We had some French documents involved and the French lawyer gave advice and confirmed all was ok. Thank you

So appalling was the service I received from Tees that I took the firm to the Legal Ombudsman. Although the ombudsman was very supportive, they can only make decisions about levels of service. I argued strongly, and still believe, that Tees was negligent in their advice to me, which cost me £ tens of thousands. Sadly solicitors'' negligence has to be proved in court.
