As a mother of a child who was physically assaulted by his head teacher I can confirm that the tra is a massive let down . My child was left with bruises on his arm and marks on his stomach and neck and they have deemed this person safe to still work with children, the emotional impact of the incident which is not an easy ride and causes alot of stress and anxiety . The tra never contacted me and I was not even a witness or spoke to by them but they allowed random strangers from a church to speak highly of the teacher . When I tried to dispute the outcome I was told "as a member of the public I can not dispute"

I followed TRA procedure and reported a teacher that had shouted abusively at me upsetting my infant child on two occasions. The second was recorded by the police and an incident number provided. I followed the TRA procedure and firstly contacted her head. This was a few months post the second incident as I waited until I had move house for fear of reprisals against my family. However the teacher subsequently called Lincolnshire Police and I was issued with a fine for Malicious Communications - how ludicrous is that? - The TRA did not subsequently explain what to do in this situation - hence be warned when complaining it could be turned on you for simply doing the right thing.
