    Before I completed the City and Guilds level 1 course with Maria I was a complete beginner and had never really thought much of sewing. I had never used a sewing machine before and was worried that I would find this course hard. Maria gave lots of demonstrations was there for me every step of the way. I can't believe how much I learnt in such a short space of time. After learning how to use a machine, I was instantly hooked at how you can just shut off from the world and get creative with various fabrics. Maria taught me so many different skills and techniques during the course that I came home with handmade bags and pillows! I now am able to do alterations to my clothes which I never thought I would be able to do. It's nice to know that if I purchase clothing that doesn't fit perfectly I can confidently alter it. It's amazing how much you can learn in just only 5 days with Maria. I couldn't recommend her and the courses enough. Thanks again, Maria.

    I’ve learned so much! I have done the City & Guilds Level 1 & 2, the dress making, the open workshop, bunting and cushion making and I’ve made some trousers. Maria is an outstanding teacher, she knows everything there is to know about sewing and I couldn’t think to learn from anyone else. The studio is bright, cute and has everything you could possibly need or want from a sewing studio. I would highly recommend to everyone who wants to learn how to sew as a beginner or someone more experienced looking to improve their existing skills. AMAZING!
