I recently completed the online BSL L1 course. I really enjoyed learning in a silent environment. As a hearing person it really enhanced my learning which was surprising to me. The ‘Lessons’ that were available on the forum were easy to follow and accessible at each stage of learning. It helped me to go back through the activities prior to each session to ‘re-cap’ each week. The overall experience of the course was exceptional. A huge thank you to our teacher Mahad who really made the course what it was. Always full of positivity, always willing to answer questions and re-cap where needed. He really put everyone at ease which fostered a ‘can do’ attitude even during the exam session. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend – thank you!

I completed the online BSL level 1 (unit 1) course this week. It was such a joy to have done this course. Starting from the very efficient and prompt communications from Beth, the very well put together self-tutorial videos and the easy to understand content - there was immense support throughout. The tests were very useful and helped me immensely. But above all, a BIG BIG Thank you to our teacher Mahad. He was such a joy to learn from and so inspirational. No request seemed too much, and he really is such a nice, kind person. Put us all at ease before our exam and ensured we practised. :-) Thank you

I recently completed a basic sign language course around greetings and initial conversation. The course was taught very well, there was lots of support in place, and the teacher was very patient! The course was also taught in silence which for a hearing participant had a big positive impact on the experience.
