According to the 1974 Pollution Control Act in the UK, construction activities carried out in public areas should adhere to specific regulations to safeguard the public from noise and air pollution. These regulations dictate that noisy construction work is only permitted between 8am and 6pm from Monday to Friday, with no work allowed on Sundays and Public Holidays. As I write this review on a Sunday at 7:12am, I am disturbed by the loud noise generated by workmen who are dismantling scaffolding at the Coop across the street. Despite my efforts to inform the workmen about the pollution act, they have not ceased their disruptive activities. Unfortunately, the company's office is closed on Sundays, preventing me from directly contacting them. Hence, I am left with no choice but to document my experience in this review.

Building work in public areas in the UK must be in accordance with the 1974 Pollution Control Act, which aims to protect the public against noise pollution as well as air pollution. This act limits noisy work to between 8am and 6pm from Monday to Friday. I am writing this on a Wednesday at 18:55pm. Workmen from this company are taking down scaffolding from the adjoining house next door. This is extremely loud and keeping my 11 month old twins awake. Everytime they fall asleep, they are woken again by another metal pole hitting the floor. I have been out and explained the pollution act to the workmen who have said they'd ring their boss, but havent stopped the illegal works. The office for this company shuts at 5pm so i am unable to call them myself hence my writing of this review. I will be reporting them in the morning.
