    I have a house built circa 1991 so approx 30 year old roof with mortar ridges, hips and verge. Over the years the mortar deteriorated and would require constant upkeep with repairs every few years. I tried back in 2011 to get it replaced with dry system however the installation done back then by another company was very sub-par quality work (although watertight). I did not realise at the time but over ten years due to those sub-standard works it ended up causing rot and damage to wooden fascia's and soffits which otherwise I would not have had. As you can expect I was a bit worried and hesitant having to get the same repair work done again a decade later as it is not a low cost repair. I spent a lot of time getting quotes from different companies, some were trying to sell a new roof or trying to price a repair so high to make the repair work uneconomical. Some even had logo's for the NFRC (National Federation of Roofing Contractors) on their vans or quote estimates and digging further I found they were not even registered or had been removed due to complaints, one well known local company even advised me NFRC was replaced by another body and no longer existed when I questioned their membership! Now onto Taylor Roof's, I think the biggest part of any major works being carried out is trust and using a reputable contractor. I am very happy with the work done by Barry from Taylor Roofs, it goes to show when someone knows their trade and you can see the difference in the quality of their workmanship. My advise is don't be tempted by the cheapest quote you get, although it may save you a few pounds now you could end up paying twice down the line. That said Taylor Roofs were reasonably priced and I don't mind paying a slight premium if I know the work will be done right in the first place. Every day they cleaned up after themselves and left the place spotless. If anyone is interested in replacing a wet system with dry system get in touch with Taylor Roofs, even if you want to see the work first hand I got done for yourself I will be happy to show you round if you want to get in touch with Taylor Roofs. Thanks Jamie, I wish you and your company the best for the future. P.S. I am a very fussy and meticulous customer so it is saying something if I didn't find anything to complain about!
