I worked for Taybar Security back in 1999/2000 for a couple of years when Dave owned it. Back then I was working in the building where the library is in central Birmingham near the fountain. They're were a few shops in there and a pub. One place in there was called fatty arkbuckles which was a restaurant. I think Dave was ex military as he was very strict on uniform dress code. I remember wearing white socks under my black security trousers. Even though I had black boots on, Dave still noticed and went mad with me over it. Thanks to Dave's discipline the discipline stayed with me for years afterwards. I started out in security back in 1984 and remained in security to this day and uniform discipline is my top priority. Taybar security were the best security company I ever worked for. Management looked after there staff and the wages were good and always paid on time. Over the years I've worked for a few security companies even spent 14 years as a SIA licensed doorman. The best thing working for Taybar is I actually met my future wife working near the library when employed by Taybar and now have 2 kids both in there 20's of which my daughter is a paramedic and my son has gone into close protection. Meeting my wife would never of happened if I was not working at that time for taybar. My wife was a military police officer at the time. So having that discipline from Taybar security and from my wife has stayed with me continuously. You never forget the good security companies and Taybar Security were one of the better company's I worked for. Thanks Taybar for the great times, discipline and most of all placing me on a site at the right time to meet my future wife where I now have two gorgeous kids which would never of happened without your employment.I'll never forget this great security company.
