  I think what I love about TaxAssist Accountants is that I feel valued by the Master Franchisor. I feel they have a clear understanding that they will do well if I do well. From the moment I engaged with the team in Norwich, I have been supported on this journey, from all aspects of running my business. There is an amazing technical team, whom I use frequently, and they are able to answer and clarify some of the difficult tax questions. There is also a recently formed tax planning department offering service and advice on areas such as Inheritance Tax and Corporate Tax Structures, something I wouldn’t necessarily be able to do on my own. I recently had feedback from a marketing specialist, that the services offered by the TaxAssist marketing team are exceptional - from branding to social media and website updates. When you are running and building your own business, creating and posting content takes time and it’s great to know the Support Centre team in Norwich are there providing a consistent presence. Running my own business has afforded me the flexibility I would never have been able to achieve in corporate life. Recently, with the challenges around elderly parents, it has been invaluable to be able to work around situations that arise, but that is only based on the hard work and effort invested over those previous years. You can not underestimate how much you will need to do to get your business into a sound financial position and then maintaining and growing that will be your next challenge. Saying that, I would honestly highly recommend anyone who is looking at a franchise to investigate TaxAssist Accountants, it was one of the best business decisions I ever made.

  When I joined TaxAssist Accountants back in 2002 I had no idea that it would end up delivering me 6 figure income, enable me to buy two offices and ultimately allow me to cash in significant value when I sold to another franchisee in 2022. The franchise has more than met my expectations in all respects. I’ve had support and encouragement all the way along which enabled me to build a successful business in a way that the Support Centre predicted. The Support Centre evolved over my time with them and provides a leading edge model to follow - their response during the Covid pandemic was fantastic and supported me and my clients through the most challenging of circumstances. I remain very proud to have been part of the TaxAssist network.   I had always had the desire to run my own business and I relished the opportunity to build a business and be successful with TaxAssist. Also, this provided the chance for me to be my own boss and avoid the internal politics that I had encountered in the various organisations that I had worked in. TaxAssist would support me with the help that I needed in order to initiate a start-up as a sole trader, with the expertise and advice on hand to help with the smooth running of the business. I liked the idea of the 'TaxAssist family', with everyone supporting each other, with a genuine mutual goal to achieve for all concerned. The TaxAssist branding and messaging is strong, with our small business specialism offering a local service with national support – win-win for both me and my clients.   Martin and I joined the TaxAssist Accountants franchise in 2007, and successfully sold our practice to a new franchisee in 2021. Building a profitable business, for us, required both patience and perseverance in equal measure. We also needed the support and experience of a franchise model and a franchise team; and will remain life-long fans of the partnership we discovered, the team we worked with and the model we invested in – TaxAssist Accountants. Looking back, we both feel that the support team have demonstrated a fair bit of “patience and perseverance” with ourselves! But maybe that’s the key point. It worked. And it continues to work. Trust the model, trust the team and the results eventually speak for themselves. So a big thank you to everyone involved in our journey. For us this was, without doubt, the most rewarding time in our careers.

  We joined the TaxAssist Franchise nearly 4 years ago from a resale purchase, and we are very pleased that we chose TaxAssist. The challenges of taking over an existing practice was easier to manage with the support received from the operational support centre. Our initial dream of owning a business that can grow into something bigger is gradually becoming a reality as we’ve now opened a second branch a year ago. Right from when we attended the discovery day, we knew we were in the right place and that was proven during the pandemic. The support provided to us through the pandemic was second to none which in turn, meant I could fully support, advise and guide my clients through very challenging times. I knew the benefits of being involved with a quality franchise, so I turned to that sector for my inspiration.
