After a year and a half of trying to sell our flat in Streatham through a number of well-known Estate Agents, including the agents who sold us the flat in the first place, we were given a recommendation to try Tate Residential. From the very first phone call with Paul to completion of the sale which was led by Amber, Tate did an amazing job in reassuring us and guiding us through the process. It was a very different experience to the stress and disappointment we have been through over the past 18 months! Amber in particular was fantastic - she had to put up with a lot of nervous phone calls from us while chasing some very elusive solicitors. She managed the whole process brilliantly. I can’t recommend Tate Residential enough

We rented with Tate for 18 months. Three months into our renewed contract we were told unless we accepted an increased rent price the break clause would be activated and we would need to leave the property. We tried negotiate a price with the landlord but eventually accepted the increase. Following this stressful interaction we were still told the property would be put back on the rental market for an even higher price. When we came to move out of the property we left it in a much cleaner state than we received it, however were still charged a fee (due to the new tenants complaining it wasn’t up to standard). Months later we returned to the property for our mail and were told by the new tenants that they had had no issue with the cleanliness they found the property in. Therefore we feel very let down by our treatment by this agency and do not feel they always have the renters best interest.

I don’t even know where to begin. It’s been an absolute nightmare. 1. The agent attempted to charge us for the reference check (£45 per person) which we found out seconds later that it should be free. When we asked him about this said fee, he only replied “I’ll remove the charge from the deal sheet”. Very very dishonest. After signing the contract, we realised the remaining monies we were about to pay was kinda off. Turned out the agent “forgot” to deduct the non-existent fee for reference check. 2. Fast forward to the day we moved in which is today. The property was not in the condition we expected. The bathroom door can’t be closed. The property has not been professionally cleaned as promised - there’s a huge brownish stain next to the bed in one of the bedrooms where the light is also broken. Surfaces are sticky. The previous tenants left a bunch of stuff in the kitchen. When the other tenant tried to contact the agent about the situation, she realised the agent had blocked her on WhatsApp. These problems should have been sorted before the move-in date. When I contacted the agent he told me to contact the landlord instead which I find strange. Since it’s the company that’s managing the property, not the landlord. This in turn almost led to an unpleasant misunderstanding between the landlord and I about the situation the landlord knows nothing about. Since when has it become the new tenants’ job to figure out whose responsibility it is to get the property professionally cleaned? We were merely expecting a professionally cleaned flat where there’s no serious damages…Not a flat where there’s a huge brown stain in the bedroom and no privacy when using the bathroom. Overall, it’s been a terrible experience. I wish we could have gone for somewhere else if it weren’t for the insane housing situation in London atm.

During our Time in SW London we rented through Tate residential for over 2 and a half years (2 flats) and our experience working with them was extremely positive. Our dealings with both Natalia and Paul were both professional and friendly, with them being quick to resolve issues that arose and accommodating to our needs when being renters with a pet. If an issue arose the team at Tate were quick to be on hand and have things resolved in a timely manner, even during restrictions in covid they were did not let this deter from their level of service or the needs of their clients. We initially started working with Tate in early 2020 and moved into one of their properties at the start of April 2020, an extremely stressful and uncertain time. Despite this, Tate were able to ensure that the move continued without a hitch. Having used other estate agents previously, I can say our experience with Tate was far beyond those previous, and had we not been emigrating then we would have continued to utilise their services, should we relocate back to London then we would look to work with them again without hesitation. I would like to thank Tate residential for all their help and support, it was a pleasure working with them.

Worse experience ever, when me and my husband went to view this place.. We both really liked it. We met the agency guy named Jake.. Who was friendly at first but now I'm very disappointed in how he has behaving right now.....Because we had to give to give our current place 4 weeks notice before we move. They was asking us to move in 1st week of June but we couldn't... However we was promised the new place would be cleaned. As it should when someone moves on a property. 1st 2 days back we meant to move in, I was given the keys but the house that we are moving in was disgusting. Painted the walls but left everything dirty. Furniture stacked in the middle. Floors dusty and covered in paint. Left like that amd asking us to put things back?. When someone moves into the home and was told of what will be done should be done.after taking deposit money from us and making us pay in a hurry then blocking someone because on phone is disgusting.....Right now I'm very disappointed in this agency. Iv never come across anything where it's been like this...At this moment it's going to be 3 days where the cleaner has just come in now and won't finish till 10pm because even she had said ' this place is disgusting' and we still havnt moved in. If anything should be told in advance then it should be done given there was 3 weeks before we moved in. Communication should be the key. We are were happy to go with you guys as what you had said and delivered to us but after we pay seems things change. 8/06/2022 This is for Mr Paul Tate.. Personally after what we had felt before moving in this property , I want to thank you for your concern and how you was the one who helped us, you fixed and took your own personal time and effort to make everything the way that the property should have been in the first place. You have made it feel like a home.. Thank you once again.
