Good for families and fun whether it's in the rain or sun. It can take 10 minutes if your in a rush to an hour and a half if you want to spend time with family to go through it all. The view is beautiful if it is open. The only difficulty is that they are closed on Mondays, which is sometimes the only day some people have off. Overall, it's a great castle!

Traveled here as an unexpected addition to a recent trip And what a wonderful find, tucked away surrounded by the town lies this little haven of green open space A large park area good for picnics or dog walking, a large play area with options for small children up to early teens food venues on site While we were here there was a fun fair here which offered a number of rides it was limited but still enjoyable for our little one The biggest attraction was the walled castle standing tall and imposing over the surrounding area, as you can see by the stunning photos it's very grand looking Walking up too the castle there are numerous information signs telling the story of the castle and there all round the castle, we didn't have long so we didn't look inside but one day I hope we will. After I was captivated and looked into the history of the site and tried to see how things looked there in the past If there is information available or some sort of visuals I would be very interested I've always said we know who we are by where we have come from I really recommend a visit so you too can dream of what it would have been like yo live here looking over the medieval town and its people Great visit
