After being recommended by a friend, Erik came to see us regarding our anxious Dachshund. Erik was extremely helpful and very friendly. He gave us many helpful tips and advice. We were looking for a dog trainer who had lots of experience. Erik had walked my friends dog previously and I would see him walking his own dogs. They were extremely well behaved and we knew he was the trainer for us. We filled in a beginning questionnaire to determine what the issues were for us and our 7 month old Schnoodle Ralph. We initially had one issue of barking when near other dogs. We have learnt much more than what we originally thought! Erik gave us an arsenal of strategies from typical training techniques such as sit, stay and leave to ensuring that we had Ralph under control at all times. Erik at Talk of the Dog kept all our sessions light hearted and friendly but constructive and well structured. He was non judgemental of the bad habits we had developed from our inexperience and always offered solutions. Erik was honest and us and reiterated that it is ‘us’ as owners who need to ensure we continue to train Ralph not just in the presence of Erik but when he was not around too. He was always punctual and ensured he could work round our full time jobs and shift patterns. We have learnt so much from Erik and would definitely recommend him to others.

Erik came to see us regarding a recall issue with our terrier crossbreed . Having listened carefully to us he recommended we enrolled at Nuneaton dog training where our dog would benefit from the presence of other dogs in a controlled environment. We were impressed that Erik's recommendation was focused on what was best for our dog. We would certainly recommend Talk of the Dog and would not hesitate to contact Erik if required in the future

He's followed up regularly since our meeting to see how we're doing and is so professional, easy to talk to, and has solved a lot of the issues with Ted.
