Honestly please believe the 1 star reviews for this place. Horrible, bland and portion sizes are small even though I ordered large. Szechuan noodles and sauce have red food colouring and just tastes of ginger. The black bean sauce is so bland. Special fried rice doesn’t even taste or look like it’s been fried. Never ordering from here again. So disappointing.

Ordered crispy duck pancakes, Singapore rice and special fried rice. The Singapore rice was burnt and tasted awful so I contacted the restaurant and they apologised, they were also very happy to replace it for another item. Mistakes happen, what matters is how you deal with them. I appreciated how it was dealt with however This is simply booked rice with mixed veg that is heated back up on a frying pan. Don't waste your money.

I was big fan of this place. Take one indian was one of best around and now, it was disgusting. Please kick the new chef out, it was dry chicken biryani, too much flour cold naan bread without almonds and oily and too spicy veg curry. I can’t believe it what they done to this place was really one of best before

I have eaten at Take One for 22 years, the chefs seem to be very consistent in making decent quality, flavoursome food. I think the business has passed through different management but it has always been good and maintains its high standards. Even as Belsize Park has been gentrified and become a dull, hollowed out husk of its former self, you can still get very good value here. This place is a local institution and long may it reign. ✊

Got the beef chow mein as well as the chicken and food was spot on. Portion sizes were really filling as well as the lamb ribs starters and wings. Person on the phone was really polite and took orders well with good recommendations. Will definitely return or order again.
