The Taco Tavern is an absolute favourite of mine (Uber Eats informing me I'm a regular today as I've made 13 orders so far 😅) I adore Mexican food and this place is the best!! Thank you to the owner who called us on multiple occasions tonight after our original order was not delivered by deliveroo (no fault of restaurant). Our redelivery was promptly made and we were updated more than once by this kind and thoughtful lady. We are always happy with the food here, Tres Tacos are plentiful and tasty, Nutella/banana crepe is very good. We will order again and recommend:

Big portions, but the quality of the food is lacking and flavours disappointing. The quesadilla seemed to be a full tin of mushrooms mixed with cheese folded into a undercooked tortilla. Filling, but not good. The burrito was a bit better, but also lacking any balance; salsa, coriander, lime, etc would have been nice. The chips were undercooked and soggy. In summary, the food is edible and will fill you, but don't expect authentic flavours or any kind of finesse. [edit: removed unnecessary personal bit]
