Extremely polite stuff, talking about the place with such a passion. Very nice sculptures and interiors that would bring you back in history. Went there on a Sunday and it wasn’t crowded at all. Really enjoyed the palace and the beautiful garden.

If you live in West London, this is a great place to visit as it is easy to get to and has free parking. The Hillier Garden Centre is next to it and you can get some delicious refreshments here at the cafe and restaurant and there is also a very nice garden centre shop with homeware items & garden furniture. There is also a Lakeland shop & an expensive food shop. The gardens & conservatory take about an hour to walk round. You can get some really great pictures here (love the conservatory, it's Victorian era). There are a couple of little assault courses for the kids, made from logs and tree stumps. We spent about 1.5 hours in the house (self tour), obviously it could take longer depending on the person. We had access to the first floor today, which was closed last time we were here. Wonderful stately home, so many works of art to see, so beautiful and so full of history. Well worth a visit.

Completed tour but coming back for the gardens. Lovely tour. Lots of history. Wouldn't say kids would enjoy it - has time be for history buffs. Lovely staff and knowledgeable. We bought tickets in advance but actually think we could have got it cheaper (if you live a certain distance from it).
