    We moved in to our new build home and on the first day we found that kitchen we had paid extra for (paid alot extra) was damaged and had been built very poorly. Cabinets were drilled too shallow so that you can see the screws poking out from the doors, every cabinet panel was scuffed and they did not bond the units together. They also did not fit the boiler cabinet. We were told eventually that they were still waiting on parts for the boiler so we waited patiently. Nearly three months on we get a call saying they were coming over to install and rectify the damaged units. We arrived home to find not only had the damages not been rectified but instead our kitchen had been damaged further! The workman had knocked our light unit out of the ceiling damaging our light shade and then tried to hide it by incorrectly screwing the light back in. He’d also left the light on with the exposed live wire hanging out. Didn’t leave a note or contact us to let us know, just tried to hide it and left. Along with this, the boiler cabinet we waited three months for was fitted incorrectly, was not cut down to size within accordance to the uk boiler regs and was still missing half of the parts they assured us had arrived. They also attempted to remove the unit with the shallow screw and instead nearly pulled the door off of the cabinet next to it leaving the door wonky which now is no longer flush when closed. Five months down the line and we are still waiting on a response from symphony despite contacting their customer care and after sales. They just take your money and don’t want to know.     Stay away!!! We recently had our kitchen countertops removed and replaced by symphony kitchens . as the previous installation were uneven. After waiting over a year to get these countertops replaced after work was completed we was left with a gas leak! Contractors had to uninstall and reinstall gas hob. Lucky we had insurance, We tried calling Symphony thier offices were closed. After the panic and fear of gas we called our insurance company they immediately instructed us to turn off gas from mainbetc . Our insurance company sent out engineer to make sure we was safe. We ended up with no hot water , no heating , limited cooking.and with 6 year old made things very difficult over a weekend. Symphony sent out their contractors out eventually to sort out the gas leak.We asked symphony for some sort of compensation. We explained that we was placed in a dangerous situation because of them and made very uncomfortable for whole weekend. Symphony kitchens said " Will not do compensation" and for us to take it up with the builders. Very poor customer service.We could of been blown up. Or seriously hurt. Fobbed off much?     No customer service. They make you use a third party. When they refuse to deal with kitchen issues, Symphony refuse to honour their guarantee/warranty!! 10 year’s warranty, a joke. They have quality assured the kitchen. Made a note of defects and report produced, but won’t let us the customer with kitchen see the report!! It’s our kitchen in our home. Area Rep not helpful. Don’t use this company if you want transparency!!!

    Review of the maintenance department job at Rotherham branch Worked here for around 6 months and it's a revolving door of staff. 27 engineers left in 5 years should tell you everything you need to know. I've never known such a toxic atmosphere of work. Not once did I do anything legally or morally wrong. Still made to feel like I was some kind of problem. Called into multiple meetings just to be made to feel like you're being punished. Focus on small things too much. Email blame culture. Lots of unwritten rules you should know and will be punished for not following or knowing about. Very little on the job training. Supposed to be on a set rota system but I was never on a set shift pattern for more than 3 weeks straight. Usually because of the lack of staff/people leaving due to how rubbish the place is run. Engineers shouldn't be rescuing panels in machines or cleaning them. No time off allowed over Christmas due to a badly organised shut down. Holidays hard to book due to no staff. Gave a months notice for a day off in January for the end of February and it wasn't allowed. Makes you wonder what the point is in having personal days if you can't use them when you want with plenty of notice. Lots of politics and wars going off behind closed doors between production and maintenance. Nothing to do with lads on shop floor that. Get told to ask for help and then when i Asked for help with certain tasks. I was vilified and told I should come in on a weekend on my own time to work. Constant meetings, but usually discuss stupid things like bins being full. Air fryer not being cleaned etc. Admin assistant in engineering is an absolute Karen, comes complete with "i wish to speak to the manager haircut". She really makes life difficult for the staff, very argumentative and uncooperative and very unprofessional. Acts like a manager, when she isn't. Speaks to people like they are dirt on her shoes. I could carry on and on. So much about this place that makes it an unworkable position. Needs massive improvement in all areas.
