    West Coast Swing - the state dance of California Every Thursday there is a lesson here. The lessons are from 7:30pm till 10pm - including 2 breaks. I think that we should need more freestyle rather than many lessons. By 10pm I am too tired to focus on and I loose my energy to stay till 11pm. I would prefer 2 lessons till 9pm only. West Cost Swing isn't difficult to learn, but the footwork is. You have to step 6 by counting to 4. It takes ages to remember & causes headache. If you have never danced anything before probably WCS isn't the best to start with. I have dance background luckily which is helpful. The venue isn't that big. There is only 1 teacher for woman & man. And 1 other helper to teach beginners only. There is 1 upsetting thing. The teacher always opens the windows wide even in freezing weather and its so cold!!!! I can't stand that.

    Great for individuals, or to attend as a couple or group - split classes to ensure you are not overwhelmed, rotating partners and you can focus on what you need to work on. Friendly people, world class instructor and all round great atmosphere! Warning: If you give West Coast Swing a go you may not stop!
