I visited Eynsham for work today, on my way back I was stopped before the bridge and informed I need to pay £5 to cross it over. I informed that I’m not local and I didn’t know about it, asked if £5 charge apply every time and the answer was YES. The man took £5 from me with the smile on his face!!!! I just checked different routes to avoid the £5 charge every time I’m there and just seen on google that the charge is 5 PENCE!!! What a disgrace that money collectors take advantage from visitors to earn easy money! Shame!

I saw all the signs for a toll. My sat nav asked if I wanted to find a different route. It did not cost me anything.

We got scammed by the staff at the bridge today. We were told that the fee would be £5 (twice) instead of 5p. Only realized that we were scammed after Googling just now. I have made a call to the police and sent a complaint to the Oxfordshire County Council. Will be looking for help from Citizens Advice too.

The word TOLL is enough to strike fear into the heart of a true Yorkshireman but even my hubby took this in his stride! :) Cash only, traffic still flowed well even when busy :)
