  Can’t recommend this company enough. We have referred many friends and family and all have been over the moon with the service provided by SWD Windows. From the fitting of our windows and doors to the continued service years on. We recently had a problem and Malcom was extremely helpful, the service he provided was first class. Our flooring was all replaced which meant the trimming needed changing via our doors and a window needed some attention. This was no problem Malcolm and his team provided Great communication throughout. If you are looking for a reliable and reputable company look no further. I’m an existing Customer of 10 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. 5* business.

  I had used this company in a previous property so was happy to use them again in my current refurb. However this time around the service was not up to there previous higher standards. Shame as I now need to find a new supplier.

  Just had SWD replace all the windows and doors in my property. I could not be happier. From the moment they came out to show us samples of the frames and doors to the measuring and fitting they could not be more helpful. The whole process only took 6 weeks from start to finish. That's 2 doors and 7 windows all made to measure. There was no hard sale when they presented the frame samples, we were just left to decide at our convenience. The person who came out to measure the windows and doors was very professional and knew exactly what he was doing. Finally Robbie and Mike who came to fit the windows couldn't have been better. They were friendly, tidy, and done an excellent job. My house is very wonky and I know they had a nightmare getting everything to fit nicely but they went out of there way and the windows and doors look excellent. They even let my neighbour know they would be working on our house the day before just to be polite. I honestly cannot recommend them enough. The windows and doors have absolutely transformed the property. Very very happy.

  I’ve had to think hard about whether I post a review or not for SWD as I’ve had such a varied experience. Everyone I’ve spoken to at SWD are friendly and approachable. No issues there. Vincent the fitter was ace. On time and made sure I was happy throughout the installation. There have been a few issues along the way though and I think based on these, I’d say we’ve had a more negative experience over a positive. - First of all we had two windows ordered. One was arched and more complex to put together. A fitting date was arranged but then the glass for the arch hadn’t been delivered, so we had to arrange a further date for the arched window. I can accept this as the Bay window actually took most of the day to install anyway. I then paid £2000 over the phone. - On installation of the arched window I noticed quite a deep scratch on the glass. I called SWD to inform them and after an hour or so I was informed new glass would be ordered however they would need to take a partial payment. The person on the phone then tried to take another £2000 off my credit card but luckily this declined due to my credit card limit. When it declined I realised what was going on and told the person I had already paid £2000 to which he was very apologetic (as nobody had updated our case notes) and said he would order the glass and call back once ready. - Fast forward a week and a half later and I got a phone call from SWD stating they had to send someone to remeasure the window so they could order the glass (they didn’t have a copy as it was sent to the glass manufacturer)! By this point I just wanted the saga to end so I offered to accept money off the damaged window. £170 was knocked off the price which I accepted. Custom Contact issues: So many calls backwards and forwards. One person called me to arrange a fitting date for the Arched window. I said I’d have to confirm. I called back but they were busy and then never heard back from them. I called the day before the date I had been given and finally got confirmation that it would go ahead. A drainage cap was missing from the arched window which Vincent said he would pop down at a later date. He hasn’t - but for the sake of £4 I’ve ordered a couple anyway. The Fitter: As I said before I can’t fault the work done to actually install the windows. This part has been completely fine. Due to all the messing about re the second window Vincent even sorted out our cracking plaster around the window and put in a new window cill as an apology. In all I’m undecided how I feel… Pros: Friendly staff and approachable. Good fitter. Negative: After-sales customer service lacking and admin issues.

  Bad products and even worse after care. Nobody calls back when requested and my front door is about to fall off its hinges after 6 years of constant adjustment and new hinges and now a blown window panel!....6 months on and still not fixed... Finally after a year it's all fixed!! Wohoo!!
