Pleasant clean local train station. Life line for the area. Second hand books to take/donate. Mobile catering van outside the station that is very good. Indian restaurant next to station.

Very useful rail station and under used got a large car park £3.80 per day use the Ringo App somethings machines out of action.. Three trains stop every hour both ways. destinations London Victoria, Brighton, and Portsmouth via Fareham, also to Southampton, one stopping train per hour, only take 19 minutes for nonstop to Southampton. Sham that there is an appalling bus connection to Whiteley and to the south to the Western Wards. Every 2 hours Monday to Saturday no buses on a Sunday. On Saturday, the 1st bus arrives at Whiteley Retail Park at 1044. Monday to Friday 0900 for work

Absolutely SHOCKING behaviour from member of platform staff today. Young lady with young baby, buggy, baby bag and suitcase, very wet and lost, asked if there was any way to get to the other platform was rudely told ' No, use the stairs' when she politely asked if the man could help her with her baby and things you was curtly informed 'l don't do that' and he turned his back on her. The poor girl was left in tears and no way to get even to another station with a lift or disabled acces. I called a cab for her and her mother arranged to meet her and get her home. I am APPALLED at the callous way she was treated and the fact that she was obviously distressed, anything could have happened!
