Compared to Wildern School, Swanmore has been excellent. We have been very impressed with the level of support offered and the extra provision for students who experience anxiety or stress, related to their attendance at school. Excellent communication with home when things arise at school. Like many schools, the only issues we have heard are the queues at lunchtime and the misuse of toilets, which is probably the same in every school. Of course, everyone has their own personal opinion about schools, based on their child's experience, but ours is very positive and we have been impressed with the education our daughter has received since making the difficult switch from Wildern at the start of Year 10.

I attended Swanmore collage in year 9 I was a happy confident girl with a lot to say, a lot of questions to ask. The teachers completely knocked my confidence down to 0 , if I was ever crying or distressed I’d get told off more. This isn’t a place for you if your child suffers with mental health or any additional needs. I was sent to the “hub” (for having a chocolate bar in my pocket)which is a freezing cold sports hall you’re locked in with no break no fresh air and to write on a piece of paper for the whole day. Nasty 🤢 place and due to my mental health deteriorating from being picked on everyday by teachers I was unable to finish year 11 and had to go to collage to do my GCSEs

Can’t manage bullying and cares more about uniform than education. When disciplined you have to go to the ‘hub’ where you stay in there and do nothing for a range of 1-4 days.

I believe that the system we follow is corrupt. Many teachers favour particular students and demonstrate negligence towards other pupils. They don’t provide children with a good education. Students cannot enjoy learning while within this establishment and possess the element of freedom at the same time. If you trust some of the Teachers with private matters they will share the information without you being in control of the situation and it ends up resulting out of the pupils control. Awful School.

Don't send your child here if they have learning disabilities they don't want help. Will just keep sending the child 2 the hub.
