Not friendly. Extremely unhelpful staff. I wish there was a way to opt out of paying NI, paying towards NHS. It’s not a good service. End up paying for others who take advantage of the fact it’s free.

Sadly, the surgery no longer prioritises patient care and standards and service have slipped enormously in the near 30 years I've been with the practice. It is often ridiculously difficult to speak to a human being or to get even a basic, non-urgent appointment, even when you have been asked to arrange one by the practice. The IT and phone systems have been poor for years and the way some front-line members of staff speak to patients is terrible. On several occasions family members have also been seriously let down when very ill. If only everyone had the same approach as Helen.

This is a joke. Have registered over 2 weeks ago and noone knows what's going on. Evertime I call I am being told to wait as it takes 'upto a week'. After 2 weeks of waiting they say to find a different gp if I am not happy to wait. Waste of time !!!!!!!

I am asthmatic as well as suffer from an allergy. I have called up today in the morning to my surprise the receptionist was so cold, insensitive. I say I am struggling to breath, sneezing non stop with horrible headache and she hangs up asking to call back tomorrow to check if I will be lucky. How on earth an allergy sufferers are not taken seriously and hang up the phone to your face. Such a disrespectful and dumb receptionist. Time to change the practice!

Wonderful GP practice. The receptionists are always very empathic and helpful. Every doctor, nurse and paramedic are very knowledgeable, efficient and truly caring. It's very reassuring to have them as my GPs.

I've been coming to this practice since I was a child and I've never had any problems. I've always been able to get a routine, non urgent appointment in a timely manner and have been able to be seen on the same day with urgent matters. I've seen Dr. Ghaffar for my last 2 routine appointments, and he truly is an asset to Swallowfield. I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

When you get to see a doctor it is a great practice but the telephone staff are nothing short of appalling. Really unhelpful, efficacious and generally abnoxious. I appreciate they are busy but the receptionist is just plain rude and shouldn’t be working in a service industry and dealing with unwell people. No charm, no bedside matter and no compassion.

If you’re lucky enough to get an appointment the doctors and nurses are great but you need a miracle to get an appointment. Whenever I’ve had to call, I’ve waited an hour to get through to be told but an unhelpful receptionist there are no appointments and call back at 1.30!! Was told to take my 2 year old to A&E if we can’t wait. How is this an efficient service? Why can’t the practise use online booking services like other GPs? Then they’d free up the phone lines for people that can’t use online services? I will be switching practises ASAP.
