If you want to enjoy a sirloin roast the way it used to taste when many of us were younger buy from Swaledale. We have just devoured a huge joint over the coronation weekend with family and friends. As soon as it hits the roasting tin the smell tells you how delicious its going to be.

This wholesale butcher is ok, but nothing to do with Swaledale - the warehouse is in Skipton and the meat is sourced from outside Swaledale. Also, if you try to post anything less than a 4 star review on their site, they reject it!

Placed a large order and one of the two boxes arrived split open (see photos). It was much heavier than the other box and had clearly been overpacked. My concern was that I had no idea when this had happened and the effect on the temperature of the meat. Response from the company was to offer a 10% discount on a future order, but I won't be making one as can't guarantee what I get will be safe to eat. Shame as ordered few times before and quality of the meat has always been great.

I recently made a large purchase from this company. One of the products I ordered ( the bacon ) was very disappointing. It was very very thin and to be honest I’ve had much better from the supermarket. I wrote a review to state this and it wasn’t published! So basically all the reviews you see on their website are not a true representation of their products, as they only publish the positive reviews. Misleading customers doesn’t show integrity as a company or faith in their products. I would have purchased other products from them, but not anymore as I no longer have any trust in them or their products.

Probably one of the best online butchers in the UK if not the best the ribeye roast and sirloin roast was on another level some of the best UK beef I've ever eaten for sure clean beefy flavour very little grisel in the cuts I got and the meat was a nice dark red colour 10/10 for my first order thanks
