This is an update on my review below - so 3 years on I have found SW9 are definitely trying harder to resolve the problems residents encounter and for this reason I have upped the star count to 3. A turn over in staff over the last year has helped and some off the newer members of staff have been relentless in their attempts to solve issues (Michelle and Davidson). We do have regular meetings to discuss the ongoing problems.. However, the changes that are made by Network are usually poor and an attempt to make more money rather than support residents. Network are a big problem, as they only seem to be interested in the needs of the people they have built and sold properties too. I do feel that we, as a community, would be better off out of their control and back in the hands of Lambeth Council - at least they are accountable! I have lived in Barret house for 22 years. We have been in the care of SW9 CH for well over 10 years now. Nothing that I report is ever followed up on. It's a very sad situation for many of the residents in their care. You report and report and report and after an initial response, nothing changes or is done. Be warned, they have no other purpose but to cash in on any green land around the area. The staff don't seem to have any communication and the whole system is a complete mess. I had a party wall knocked down between myself and my neighbour's property (due to incompetent contractors) and it has never been replaced, even though there is a direct route between our flats which constitutes a fire risk. The outside of the property is completely run down and desperately in need of renovation. Due to the poor condition of the entrance, passers by use the area as a toilet and junkies use it to take drugs. I have raised these issues again and again to no avail. They do not seem to be accountable to anyone, it's an absolute joke! Avoid buying property from Network Housing! They claim to be a non-profit organisation but they are not interested in their residents once money has exchanged hands. We are a mix of leaseholders and tenets in Barret House and all receive the same shabby service, so don't be fooled by swanky ads for half a million pound flats!

We recently worked with SW9 to set up a Residents' Association for our development. The team, in particular Komal, have been really helpful with providing us with all the appropriate documentation, facilitating the committee set up and ongoing support to help us coordinate the third party developers and additional team. The team have been open and engaged so far and we look forward to our ongoing partnership with SW9 in the future. Updated 2 years post RA set up - sadly the relationship hasn’t continued as well as it started. There are a few key members such as Michelle and Komal who do a fantastic job at maintaining contact and ensure actions are carried out. However, the lack of engagement from any other member of the team is crippling the relationship and causing frustrations.

Imagine paying monthly to keep your car in a secured location with many cameras. Someone attempts to steal your car and then you find out the cameras were not operational at the time. Infuriating to say the least to know you aren’t safe in your own garage. Fix the bloody cameras what do I pay monthly for???

I'm now coming up to two weeks without any heating, and I still don't have a date for repairs to be carried out. I'm making daily calls to SW9 where the team tell me different things each time, or promise to call me back and don't. Absolutely shocking customer service which sums up how housing associations treat their tenants. I wonder if I'll actually have any heating at all this winter? At this rate I doubt it.
