Suzanne and Carl, I don't even know where to begin. You have both helped me and my family through such difficult times not once, but twice, both of my brothers older and younger. They had the greatest send off they could have received, you went above and beyond for all of us; made us all feel really welcome and at ease through such difficult times, we even had laughs here and there with you both. We even had the mental health #it'sworthtalkingabout charity and raised over £400 thanks to Suzanne and Carl. Before my brothers funeral Suzanne and Carl also took the time to get me and my other sibling, parents and other family members a hand print of my younger brothers hand so that we had something extra special to keep close to us now our loved one was no longer with is. I can't thank either of you enough for what you've done for us all. There really aren't enough words for what you've done for our family thank you both so so much I know my brothers would be so proud of you too xxxx

Loosing someone you love can be hardest thing to ever go through and having someone care for how you feel and help you plan a funeral is no easy job but Suzanne and Carl made it feel so. They listened, they asked questions at an appropriate pace and made my sisters and myself plan the best funeral for our Mum. Affordable, personal and caring service. Suzanne and carl there are just no words to describe how you got us through such a heartbreaking time again, you were both amazing. Everything was done perfect not to mention all the added extras you did yous really did go above and beyond your call of duty .The way my boy was presented on the bed was so much more comforting than seeing him any other way (in a coffin) the atmosphere was so relaxed and calming . You've stayed in touch throughout the whole process bless you I must of been hard work !!!! But you kept me going . I will definitely be recommending you to everyone you are what the funeral business needs!!! you were a breath of fresh air, no job too small, you handled all obstacles in your way (there was a few) I'm glad we had you both by our sides xxx

Cannot recommend Suzanne Bairstow enough absolutely fantastic service from start to finish.With so much care and attention to detail.Lovely kind caring lady who goes above and beyond.We asked her to do our flowers for the coffin and they were absolutely beautiful.The collection of your loved one is done with so much respect and much nicer than how it is usually done.Everyone who encountered Suzanne and the way she runs her business was really impressed and were all asking for her details to use for their loved ones.Would recommend 100 % Prices are really good as well.Nothing was to much trouble and she offered lots of advice for service that we hadn't even thought of.All I can say is well done to Suzanne and her company because it is AMAZING X

Our beloved Mum died at the beginning of February 2023. We were a bit clueless about how to handle the practical aspects of her death (Mum wanted a woodland burial but hadn’t decided where in advance of becoming unwell at a relatively young age) so we simply engaged a local funeral director. It became very clear very quickly that they did not offer what we and, most importantly, Mum wanted. At this point I rang Suzanne Bairstow and, within a very short timeframe, received a call directly from her. She was warm, kind, caring, practical and phenomenally respectful about our, and particularly Mum’s, wishes. Mum was clear about what she wanted: fun, laughter, colour, music, a party. When grieving that’s quite an ask but Suzanne and Carl “got it” immediately and helped us to achieve it for Mum. Their attention to detail was exceptional – right down to going and buying beautiful jugs with angel wings on them for the flowers, as well as trawling lots of flower shops to ensure that we had all of Mum’s favourites at her burial and at the subsequent party to celebrate her life . From the moment that we first spoke, the care, reassurance, professionalism and outright human warmth and compassion that we all received from Suzanne and Carl was extraordinary. This, quite clearly, is not simply a business to them; the whole day was dedicated to my Mum and our family. Nothing was too much, and we were given all the time we needed. There was no sense of having to stick to any sort of timescale and that made the burial feel even more beautiful and respectful to Mum and to us. Suzanne and Carl have been in close touch with me and my sisters since Mum’s burial. I am writing this just over three weeks after Mum’s burial when Suzanne, Carl, my sister and I have just met at the woodland burial site, spent some time with Mum, and then gone for a coffee together. I’d be amazed if any other funeral director did anything remotely similar. My family and I cannot recommend Suzanne and Carl highly enough. At such a difficult time in our lives, when losing Mum is so raw and painful, it feels like we have been looked after by close friends. That is an extraordinary achievement, and we are all very, very grateful to them. Megan Smith
