    The triage nurse, Christine or something, and the apparent "clinical specialist nurse' guy with grey hair are some of the most unprofessional and dismissive healthcare professionals i have encountered. arrogant and totally totally rude. hopefully, this gets back to them so they can be retrained or get training. seems as if they have become numb to people, understandable when working for a long time in healthcare, but not acceptable AT ALL. Plz, plz plz fix this arrogance and try to be more professional or just leave the profession

    The eye hospital has treated me very well and with respect. I have been treated quickly, and given all the information I needed. My only worry is that the appointment letter for my operation asked me to take a covid test which the nurse said was not required when I arrived. I also brought my drugs as requested, and no one asked to see them.

    I have had an operation at this hospital on each of my eyes for a detached retina and I would have gone blind without treatment. You can't say this is not a good hospital - the staff are professional and the operating theatres are up-to-date. The treatment is quite good once you do get to be seen. The problem is getting an appointment! They only take patients who have been referred by the optician or doctor. You can only otherwise be seen as an emergency, and that may involve a long wait! It is advisable to go to an optician and ask them to email your Doctor's surgery. Once you are a referred patient, you get a letter telling you to report to SEH outpatients at a specific time. You are not made to wait as long as a patient with a pre-booked appointment. Note if you can't pay to go to an optician, Bexhill Hospital has equipment that can diagnose a detached retina and other eye conditions - if they are not be able treat you there, they will be able to refer you to Sussex Eye Hospital.

    I have previously been an in patient and attended out patients monthly for the last seven months.Had excellent care.I use hospital transport to and fro.Last week my hospital transport was late,so I had to go to the ward ,as the department was closing.A care assistant took me to the ward.Went to find a member of staff.I sat on my rollater,awaiting her return.A .? Charge nurse came out of the office and abruptly and said you cannot sit there.Another care assistant took me to a ward.Made sure I was comfortable.Gave me a bell to contact them.
