Definitely gone down hill from our last visit. Staff looked miserable as sin & really couldn't be bothered, practically dropped the plates on the table and walked off, food portion was very small and dry compared to previous visits. Will probably find another venue now which is a shame as it used to be very good.

Not posh, but the food is good, and the service is friendly. Quite a lot of tables inside and out. Not really a beautiful building or setting, but quite quiet, up a side street. Parking. May be suitable for wheelchairs but not sure.

We always enjoy a visit to the Sussex Barn. My husband in particular enjoys the Steak and Ale pie! The Lasagna is lovely and it's great for kids and those who prefer a vegetarian or vegan diet! The staff are welcoming and it's easy to book online and order from the table if you wish and the prices are brilliant and very affordable.

Wasn't expecting too much from the Sussex Barn. They didn't have the non alcoholic drink which is on there drinks menu! The steak and chicken was hot and cooked well ,but the chips and peas were cold, the scampi was warm, but edible. Then after the meal we had sweets but no apple sweets available, wanted to have coffees but was told they had ran out of milk! No wonder the place was mostly empty. No very good , probably won't be returning.

Just another failure by Greene king. Understaffed, tired, cheap and not so cheerful. Another Greene king pub that failed to accept burger and drink woucher without a valid reason. So I paid, whatever, however. Confused staff, below average quality food, burger came out burned, kids veggies seen better days about a week ago, tiny corn on a cob, rest just barely ok. Tables full of dirty glasses. Funny tasting peroni, no idea how could it taste disgusting, but it did. U get what u pay for I guess, popular among locals. But honestly, go to burger king instead or thare are plenty of better pubs.

Came to try out this pub for the first time as it's very local to us. Food was okay, could've had more flavour to it (personal preference I guess) , but was good for the price. Two meals and two drinks came to just over £20. Onion rings weren't as crispy as might've liked, and chicken thighs were a bit dry (again, personal preference). Service was amazing, easy to order on the app or could've gone up to the bar, really quick to bring drinks and food over. They had a clear gluten free menu on the tables which was nice to see, and vegetarian and vegan items documented on the menu. Other allergen information wasn't super easily accessible such as whether a dish was just dairy free (this would've been useful for us). It was overall a clean and well kept venue which made it seem welcoming, the area for eating was set to one side a bit away from the bar. Overall would recommend and would return.
