Having suffered for a year with Palmer Planter psoriasis, which was becoming worse, the only apparent remaining option, after trying numerous steroid creams, was strong biologic drugs. With no guaranteed outcome and some very negative side effects, this was not a route I wanted to take. A friend then recommended Paul. I could never have imagined such a remarkable outcome. After only a few sessions the PPP started to clear. Within 2 months my skin was completely healed. I found Paul after over two years of trying to conceive. I had been diagnosed with PCOS, and Uterine Fibroids and had had a laparoscopic myomectamy to remove as many fibroids as possible, ovarian drilling and was prescribed 10 rounds of clomid, metformin and a gruelling low carb/high protein diet. By the time I approached Paul, I felt brow beaten by the whole medical process. I was struggling to cope within a system where labels such as 'sub-fertile' are used freely and without sensitive consideration to how a patient feels when they hear this. I was also finding the investigations, procedures, drugs and monthly disappointments increasingly fatiguing and disheartening. I felt like I needed more input into my situation and it became my New Year resolution (2014) to improve this. I'd read a lot about acupuncture and its success for women in my situation. I was delighted to find that there was a practitioner (Paul) in my local area and called him to arrange a consultation immediately. Paul has been a calming contrast to my previous experiences. He is extremely knowledgeable of his field and is very person-centred in his approach. I like to know what is happening and why and Paul's willingness to communicate and explain things is very reassuring. Unfortunately my 10 rounds of clomid failed so I began IVF treatment. During this period I saw Paul before and after egg transfer, and he administered an evidenced based treatment that improves success. To my utter joy we found out we were pregnant! Unfortunately, in tandem with this I also developed ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome and had some very uncomfortable symptoms. Whilst my IVF clinic were fairly dismissive, stating that their main speciality was IVF, Paul was happy to help and provided me with a great deal of relief. Sadly, after 5 weeks and 5 days I lost this pregnancy. However, I have no doubt that Paul was instrumental in helping me get further than I had ever got before and in a much more calm and dignified way. I am now commencing my next round of IVF and without hesitation will be asking Paul's help again.

"I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2008. I tried everything Clomid (50mg and 100mg) Metformin (1500mg) and ovarian drilling but no success. After four and half years of trying to conceive, and being told that our only hope was IVF we took the advice of some friends to try acupuncture. We went to see Paul after four and half years of trying for a child. I was looking for an acupuncturist who had a specialism in fertility and was delighted to find Paul. We had a sum total of 7 treatments. He is very professional, skilled, calm and not at all pushy and I didn't feel I had to book another session if I didn't want to. I'd read a lot about using acupuncture alongside IVF to increase it's chances of success, and it worked for me. Now I am 9 weeks pregnant. I would highly recommend Paul 😊
