    Not enough staff on the counters. Waiting time to be served is ridiculous. This is our only Post Office in Northallerton. No disrespect to the staff but you are serving a massive population and need more counters.

    After a lot of problems when it first moved to Smiths, the post office now has friendly and helpful staff plus self service for parcels etc which avoids standing in a queue. I used to dread going to the old PO with a queue out the door and hardly anyone serving but now I’m in and out with no problems Smiths itself is awful, with narrow aisles and hardly room to pass people which could make accessing the PO difficult with a wheelchair/pushchair

    I followed the circles on the floor to the travel money office. I waited in the travel money line for about 15 minutes only to be told that we are in the wrong line because the lady was at lunch (which is fair enough). So after 15 minutes stood there, I finally asked the woman at the other counter. She said I should be in the other line and I should join the back. This is after everyone is the other line has been and gone with new people in line. So I reluctantly joined the back. There should of been a sign telling everyone to be in one line or something. Instead of making me wait 30 minutes.

    This place has perfected the art of poor service. My latest bad experience went like this - after queuing up for about half an hour I got to the assistant and asked if I could renew my drivers license. With a grin he announced loudly that I couldn’t because the computer had crashed earlier that day. Surely they could have put a notice up or something to alert people to this...it’s not rocket science is it? I literally dread having to visit nowadays.

    Why did they let the fantastic post office we had move to a less than adequate service in WH Smith’s ? I havnt had a good experience since the changes and seems others feel the same ? Cost me an extra €75 to post Christmas presents to our grandchildren in France begining of this year ! Because staff don’t know what they are doing, give you wrong postage forms and then when you go use them the correct form is passed over with gift tick box covered over. Which meant my daughter in law had to cough up extra when Their CHRISTMAS PRESENTS were delivered! The form clearly said presents on part of the form !! Terrible service, including massive queues too

    Completely understaffed. I called in at around 12.15 one day to find one long queue almost all the way up to the front entrance. I am partially disabled now and cannot stand for any more than 5 minutes so I had to leave without returning my parcels. Totally inadequate staffing.

    Current wait time 1hour+ to the counter. Queue the whole length of W H Smith. Absolutely ridiculous. How are they allowed to get away with providing such an inadequate service???
